William T. Freyvogel has over thirty-five (35) years of experience in the principal practice areas of litigation, real estate law and corporate/business law. He has served as lead counsel in hundreds of cases in Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland courts from 1975 to the present time involving a wide variety of legal issues. He has handled commercial/corporate litigation, real estate litigation, contract disputes, bankruptcy cases, business reorganizations/restructurings/dissolutions, loan restructurings/workouts, foreclosure proceedings, disputes among shareholders/partners/members of businesses, landlord/tenant matters, debt collection cases, construction litigation, will contests and related fiduciary litigation, employment disputes and other legal controversies. Bill's clients and adversaries will confirm that he approaches every case with a tireless work ethic, a thorough command of the facts and the law, and an aggressive, effective legal strategy in the courtroom.

Bill also has significant additional experience in corporate and real estate transactional work, including contract drafting, contract interpretation, formation of business entities, corporate dispute resolution, real estate acquisition/development/financing work, commercial/business negotiations, asset protection strategies and related matters. Many of our clients feel that it is important to bring a litigator's perspective to such business transactional work to help ensure that if they ever end up in court, the documents they signed will give them a better chance of a favorable outcome.

Bill is a 1972 magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University and a 1975 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Fairfax Bar Association, Pi Sigma Alpha and Phi Beta Kappa. For over twenty (20) years, Bill has been rated by Martindale-Hubbell as "AV Preeminent", the highest possible peer review rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
